Heritage Robotics on the World Stage

With FSAS funding, Saline Robotics proudly secured entry to the 2024 FIRST World Championship after earning the prestigious #1 Champion’s Award at the Michigan level. This opportunity allows the team to represent Saline and the United States on a global stage, competing against teams from over 50 countries.

Participation in FIRST Robotics instills Core Values like Innovation, Impact, and Discovery, which students apply daily in school and beyond. The program empowers them to become strong presenters and self-directed learners while gaining skills in coding, math, and science.

The team’s Innovation Projects reflect their creativity and problem-solving abilities, including a kinetic energy recovery tile that removes CO2 from the atmosphere through foot traffic, a gravity-driven water battery, and Hobby_Pop, a new website connecting people worldwide through shared hobbies.

This grant not only supported the team’s immediate goal of competing on a global stage but also laid the foundation for the program’s growth and sustainability in the years to come, ensuring its positive impact on future student innovators.
